S U M M E R 2 0 1 3 ! ! !

Officially as of today, I am a FREE woman from SCHOOL. :) Well at least for 4 months. Usually I take summer school but I wasn't able to get in any classes. Gonna try to do a full load in September. But till then.. it's time to LIVE LIFE!

Sadly I don't think I'll be going anywhere exotic or exciting.. but I guess I'll make the best out of what my city is offering this year!

1) Bruno Mars Concert - July 20

Not really sure if I am still going but my other cousin asked me a while back. I would love to see this man serenade me in person.  When I Was Your Man is totally my jam at the moment.

2) IMATS - July 27 & 28

I never been to IMATS before even though I am quite a huge make up person myself.. Sad reason is, I just didn't have anyone to go with! My friends aren't into make-up like me. But this year I asked my cousin (who used to go schooling for make up) to come with me!

3) Selena Gomez Concert - August 14, 2013

I am SUPER obsessed with Selena, she's one of my main girl crushes. I missed her first concert two years ago and I'm super determined to attend this one! Marking May 1st to order my ticket right away. Feels kinda cool that Vancouver is the first concert date for her tour! When you're ready come and get it, nananana! ;)

4) Anime Revolution - August 16-18

Didn't preorder my ticket like I should... Maybe because I didn't really like how it was last year! All I did was hanged out in the Artist's area all day and attended a Sailor Moon panel. Maybe I'll put in effort to dress up this year to make it a bit more fun. :)

Which all these events, it means I'll probably have to pick up a few more shifts and hold off on the shopping for a while. But it will be soooo worth it!! ^_^

Another thing on my to-do list... dye/change my hair! I want to dye it ashe brown hehehe. I recently go "whispy" straight bangs.. but it didn't work out so well.

Manicure Monday - Now You See Me

So I'm a day late for Manicure Monday... BUT trust me I'm trying !! Trying to update my blog more CONSISTENTLY. My goal is TWO times a week on Monday/Tuesday (depending on if it's Manicure Monday or not) and Friday.

I already did the manicure and took photos on Monday, I just didn't type up the post yet which I am doing right now hahahaha.

Originally I wanted to try out a neon yellow that I have just gotten but failed to open the bottle... Don't you just hate that?!? Tried running it under warm/hot water but didn't work. -o- Had to ask for a true man's strength when my brother came home but I had already painted by nails another colour.

So this week is a dead sea blue from the L'oreal collection, Now You See Me.

Not gonna lie, this colour is dull and dead. SO opposite of what I'm feeling for Spring/Summer... I don't hate it but probably would not be reaching for this polish as often.

Here enjoy more pics taken by my broken screened DSLR:

So proud of my painting job this time! I don't paint well with mattes but I did a decent job this time. I guess the dark colour helped or it could also be the nice formula. Next time I will be painting my nails the neon yellow I was talking about earlier which is also from the L'oreal line so we shall see how that formula works as well! :)

We're All Dreamers Waiting to Become Billionaires

You probably heard this question in your life before.

"What would you do if you had a million dollars??"

Many of us would probably say things like travelling, purchase a house, donate a portion to charity, give some to parents, etc.

But in the process, we also dream/think of when we become rich.

"When I'm rich, I'll...."

Buy a car.

Get that Louis Vuitton bag.

But besides materialistic things, we also dream of living the life we really want because we can afford it now. For example, now you can quit your boring 9-5 office job, to do all the things you like to do. Like taking dance lessons. Playing more sports. Paint a picture. Or pick up that photography hobby you started way back in high school again.

The sad thing is, we all dream of this while working at our part time job, and using up our spare time to procrastinate on Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

How the fuck do we expect to become billionaires while being paid minimum wage and working 10 hours a week???

Someday, we think. "Someday" in the near future, a day will come where someone like our own fairy godmother will walk into our life and give us a"life changing" experience that would change our life forever. Although maybe a select few of us would be lucky enough, but the rest of us would wait, and wait, and wait, and wait... till we realize we are 40, start to go through a mid-life, and realize that "someday" has gone, and passed.

Why do we wait???

I know for me personally it's because I'm LAZY, procastinating, unmotivated...I also sometime lack the belief that I may have a skill or talent that can help me on a quest to become a billionaire.

I'm currently working part time at a job for slightly above minimum wage, and juggling school. I spend a lot of that money on food, shopping, and going out with friends. My spare time is spent on going out to eat, playing League, or going shopping. My dream of becoming a billionaire is far, far, far away. That's the reality for many of us.

Moral of this post: STOP WAITING, AND START DOING!

Whatever that is that you have a passion for, art, singing, sports, cooking, DO IT WHENEVER YOU CAN!

I'm too busy.

No, no you're not!

If you were really passionate about something, then you would put effort in making time for it instead of finding excuses. Sometimes in order to make time, you gotta be willing to sacrifice. Which could mean less time on social networks, less sleep, etc.

I realize that most of us are not motivated/willing to work on what we want to become now because they assume sometime in the near future that opportunity will eventually come. I was talking to a "friend" about our future. She wants to go to this famous acting school, and become an actress. I asked her if she practices acting in her spare time, and suggests she can go to a more inexpensive school for the time-being, but she makes up an excuse about that school being the best and that she will do it once she has the money.

She works 4 hours a week at a sushi restaurant. I don't think that tip will really help much.

Think about it... how do you planning on being a millionaire with your current lifestyle?

The time to reach your dreams is NOW!

Get Ready with Me!

I always see these fun videos on YouTube, and since I broke my camera's LCD screen (I know, ALREADY) before I even manage to learn how to properly film a video, I thought to do it in picture form instead! After all, I feel my blog lately have been too wordy and have too few beauty posts.

So here we go!

This was for a day at work. I really like to focus on my eyes so it might be too much for some of you. Because I feel like I'm wearing too much make up for everyday, I skip foundation to make it seem less cakey. :P

Obviously starting out with a photo of moi sans make up.

My eye bags are even worse than usual since I slept at 3 am the night before. Man I should really consider sleeping earlier ... :(

First off, prepping the face! Moisturizer and eye cream.

Currently using a L'oreal moisturiser I got from winning Sara's giveaway, and eye cream from Lancome.

Can't forget the sun screen! Been seeing some nasty sunspots on my cheeks lately.... Uh oh!

Waiting for the products to set in. Look how dewy my face is! Playing Candy Crush on my mom's phone (hence the pig phone case) because my iPhone was being charged at the time.

As Michelle Phan always say, REDEFINE THE BROWS! Even though I must say I am truly blessed with full brows (used to hate it cause I thought it looked like a caterpillar). There's just some empty spots near the front that I like to LIGHTLY fill in. Using an amazing shiseido brow pencil in Natural Black recommended by Raeview.

The most important step that I need, concealer. Bye bye dark circles!

I look wide awake now hahaha.

The reason why I got into make up, and my number 1 obsession to buy: EYESHADOWS!

Gonna be using my fav palette at the moment: the NAKED Basics. I don't even think I need my other two NAKED palettes anymore, anyone want them? Haha.

Primeeee yo eyes!

Starting withe the upper lid colour with my first and only Sephora brush, WOS.

Then with one of the best brown eyeshadow I have that compliments my skin tone nicely, Faint. Shade in your crease!

Ummm... I've been thinking that lately I have improved a lot in make up and that I am a decent artist now... I guess I'm wrong cause it looks like a complete MESS.

Ugh whatever, at least it looks okay when I open my eyes and that's all that counts. :P

Blending my mistakes away... Trying to fix this self-made bruise.

High brow highlight :)

Thumbs Up!

Eyeliner & mascara time. Lol my lids are weird and it's hard for me to reach the very bottom at times. Hence the gap. :x

Add a little blush and bronzer, lippie, and ladies, we are done!

Hope you enjoyed seeing my mini "transformations" and I can't wait to do more in the future :)

Manicure Monday - Spring in with Selena!

Welcome to the first of Manicure Mondays set of posts!

I love having a full set of nails painted looking all pretty, and clean. It def helps boost up my self confidence up by a bit, and I often catch myself starring at my hands throughout the day whenever I'm bored. (How self-absorbed am I? :P) And there's something very therapeutic about doing it!

This week, my nails will be coated with a beautiful soft coral pink! This is actually my first Nicole by OPI nail polish. For some reason I always felt ill towards the brand even though I am a regular OPI customer. It must be the bottle because I hate how it's shaped so.. ugly!!! I guess it's trying to have a 'trendier' look since this line seems to be geared towards the younger market. And I feel like the product quality would not be as good as OPI's.

But of course SELENA GOMEZ comes out with her own line of nail polish via Nicole by OPI so I guess I have to purchase some now!!

From Selena Gomez's Nicole by OPI line, "Selena".

I wish I had picked a nail polish with one of her song titles, but not like it matters. The lovely colour on my nails is named after the sensation herself, Selena. Not surprising since this colour screams fun, bubbly, and cute, -just like her.

Hope you're looking forward to the next MM like I am! I can't wait to perfect my nail painting skills as I do more of these. :D
